Welcome to my side of the Fence! This is a place for me to share my feelings, my family, my friends, the farm and good food while watching new friendships grow. Along the way I've found that sometimes the fence has been broken, but I've also found that if I'm on the right side of the fence my faith cannot be! This is my place to be me and its about keepin' it real!

Remembering Isaac & "Diesel 10"
Tonight the boys and I are cuddled up on the couch watching one of Isaac's Movies, a Thomas the Train one. He loved this movie, his favorite was "Diesel 10". We watched it quite often while in the hospital. I close my eyes and I can see him. I can see him right there beside me and between the soft noises of a now sleeping house I can even hear the way he softly spoke "Diesel 10", oh to hear his voice again..... Together..... watching his movie and for a second it's so real..... many times I want to close my eyes and not open them, I miss him so much.....
There are so many in my life that think that after 4 years I should be okay, that I should have moved on by now. Let me tell you, at least in my world of grief, the 2nd year without him was way harder then the 1st and this 4th year seems even harder yet. I can't do this anymore if this is to only get harder. I know I am under a lot of stress from the elements of life and from several that have contributed unbelievable pain in my life and maybe that's what is making this year so much harder is the reality that the ones I thought would be there for me the most have moved forward and left me grieving for my boy in the dust. I think what hurts the most is their complete disregard for my son, for Isaac......
I'm so glad others have moved on, but this life without Isaac, without having all my children together with me, this life is killing me.

"Pink Slime"
I know I'm way over due on a post, I promised I would try my hardest to update more often, shame on me! I will share when I can, I've really been in a slump with missing Isaac and with people, not so nice people in my life.
But for now check this out, OMG! I have a whole new take on cold lunch!

Never Argue with a Woman
One morning, the husband returns the boat to
their lakeside cottage after several hours of fishing and
decides to take a nap.
Although not familiar with the lake, the wife
decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors,
puts her feet up, and begins to read her book. The peace and
solitude are magnificent.
Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his
boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says,
'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'
'Reading a book,' she
replies, (thinking, 'Isn't that obvious?')
'You're in a Restricted
Fishing Area,' he informs her.
'I'm sorry, officer, but
I'm not fishing. I'm reading.'
'Yes, but I see you have
all the equipment. For
all I know you could start at any moment. I'll
have to take you in and write you up.'
'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with
sexual assault,' says the woman.
'But I haven't even
touched you,' says the Game Warden.
'That's true, but you have all the
equipment. For all I know you
could start at any moment.'
'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.
MORAL:
Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also think.
That's funny, that's just funny! I'm still laughen'!
I'd love to find the time, a spare moment to read a book. Not too long ago, I tried it, taken' time to read a book I mean. I told Josh to watch the boys and that I was going to take a bath "all by myself". I grabbed a book, sat in a nice hot bath, so nice! My first paragraph was peaceful! Then I started reading the second paragraph and it was all over from there! First Jayden came in because he had an argument with Dominic and then Keegan needed a drink of water and couldn't reach a cup out of the cupboard then they left the door open and soon the baby was standing up beside the tub splashing his hand in the water. I tried so hard to ignore it, I tried so hard to pretend I was going to have a moment to myself and then I gave up! Really, someone get Keegan a cup for a drink, Dominic and Jayden; unless there are wounds, solve it. Come on, there is another bath tub at the other end of the house Josh, let Khail splash in the water in that tub, sigh. Oh, well, someday!

wigs4kids.org Donation
Josh/Daddy went to work today and took Keegan with. It will be nice for the two of them to have their special time together, even if it's at work!
I have much to tell, but have some laundry to catch up on, some paperwork~yuck and I want to play a few board games with the older two boys in between telling the baby no he can not touch the game pieces!
But for today, real quick I want to encourage anyone that can donate hair to do so! Yesterday we had some friends come over, the guys went one way and the girls went another. It was nice as Josh took a few of the kids with them and I dropped off the younger kids at a sitters. I never get "me" time, girl time, much of any kind of time and we went and had a cup of soup and a long conversation about everything! It was nice to get some things off my chest. Then I decided since I haven't had a hair cut in over a year and half it was time to get a trim! Well I went in for a trim and I came out with 10 less inches! I really was going to just get a trim, but when she said my natural locks were long enough, I said cut it off! I HOPE that some little girl/boy will smile, it always brings tears to my eyes because I know what hair means.....

It's just hair and it will grow back, but to some one very special it could be the difference between a good day and a bad day!
